Astronaughts and Moons · Sunday May 14, 2006

On Monday night I went with a friend to go see a talk by the first japanese man to go up in space, Dr Mohri, at the Horizon planetarium. It was brilliant and awe inspiring and we were both so glad to have taken the time out from our busy lives to go to this.
Before he started his talk, there was a visual presentation of our place in the galaxy, given in full disorientating planetarium glory. We are so immensly tiny!
Afterwards we went to a cafe place called The Moon. I did not notice the funny of that until another friend pointed that out today. Oops!

I went to a great fun party tonight. It had a dress-up theme of Princess and Pirates (and faeries and ogers and so on..) Good thing I kept my garland from Fairbridge! Dried out or not, still good. There was a fairy floss machine, and fairy bread, and hilarity and lots of fun had. I never want to grow out of having fun like that. (Peter Pan syndrome perhaps)

Uni is working me hard. I played a Piazzolla tango in class on Friday which was exciting, though I still have a way to go with that one. Technical exams are coming up, so many scales and studies and excerpts to practice! Sort of a good thing I’ve got other projects on the go I guess, or it’d drive me mad O.o
